How it Works/FAQ
Q. What kind of peels are these and how deep are they?
These peels are aha/bha blends and are light to medium-depth peels that penetrate into the epidermis or uppermost layer of the dermis.
Q. Are these the same peels that you use in your office on your clients?
These are 2 forumlas that I use in-office. (ClearPeel + Tca15). These have been used in combination on clients for years. See clients results (also shown in before/after photos).
Q. How long is the downtime of flaking or peeling after I apply the peel?
The downtime is about 3-7 days starting on day 3. Everyone is different as there are many different factors involved. People will either flake or peel but either way cell-turnover is happening at a cellular level. Results can be seen regardless of how much exfoliation occurs on most clients depending on how many layers are done or how often they use active products in their daily care.
Q. How many peels would you recommend?
Every case is unique. For example, hyperpigmentation (dark spots), you’ve had for a longer time may take more than 1 peel. 3-5 peels are recommended approximately 3-5 week apart.
Q. How do you know which formulas are what I need for my specific skin type/issues?
The 2 formulas are used together which include:
ClearPeel- Our modified Jessner solution which includes Lactic, Salicylic and Citric acid
and
Tca15%
This is a safe, 2 step multi layered application. This means you get 2 formulas that you use together to target:
pores and texture
hyperpigmentation
evening out skin tone
acne
wrinkles
Q. How are these peels safe to do at home?
These peels are safe to do at home for 3 reasons.
-the moderate (8%-15%), yet effective percentages of active ingredients
-with a multi-layered approach using the 1-10 comfort scale — “the strength is in the layering”
-these peels also come with simple and detailed instructions
